Sarotech Business Systems, or SBS for short, is a fully featured accounting package and ERP (Enterprise Resources Planning) system which includes support for General Ledger, Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Inventory Control, Purchase Orders and Sales Orders. SBS can be customized for your organization’s requirements easily.

The current version of SBS (v4) is for Windows 2000 and higher. More information on the older version of SBS v3 is still available and supported.

System Requirements

Workstation/Client Requirements

  • Intel Pentium 4 2.0 GHz or equivalent processor, 2.4 GHz recommended
  • 256MB of RAM, 512MB recommended
  • Microsoft Windows XP operating system

Server Requirements

The requirements for running a SBS server vary on the amount of users and data being processed. Typically, for maximum performance with a 25 user system handling a large volume of data, the recommended server requirements are as follows:

  • Dual Intel Xeon 2.0 GHz or equivalent processor
  • 2GB of RAM, 4GB recommended
  • Microsoft Windows Server 2000 operating system

For a system with 10 users or less, the minimum requirements for a server are as follows:

  • Intel Pentium 4 3.0 GHz or equivalent processor
  • 512MB of RAM, 1GB recommended
  • Microsoft Windows XP Professional operating system; a maximum of 10 concurrent users may access SBS on this system

Network Requirements

A properly tuned network with 100 mbit connectivity is recommended for 25 users and more. For remote operability and access, a 1.5 mbit connection is strongly recommended.
