{"id":42,"date":"2007-03-16T20:15:48","date_gmt":"2007-03-16T20:15:48","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.sarotech.ca\/system-requirements\/"},"modified":"2017-06-29T21:35:33","modified_gmt":"2017-06-29T21:35:33","slug":"system-requirements","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/www.sarotech.ca\/en\/software\/point-of-sale\/spos4\/system-requirements\/","title":{"rendered":"SPOS System Requirements"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>These are the system requirements for Sarotech&#8217;s point of sale program, <a title=\"Sarotech Point of Sale\" href=\"\/software\/spos\/\">SPOS<\/a>.<\/p>\n<h4>Workstation\/Client Requirements<\/h4>\n<p>Clients wishing to run SPOS5 as a standalone or client application will need the following computer specifications.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Intel Dual Core processor, or better<\/li>\n<li>4GB\u00c2\u00a0of Ram<\/li>\n<li>Microsoft Windows XP\/Vista\/7\/8\/8.1\/10 operating systems<\/li>\n<li>Can also be used on Windows based Tablets with minimum 1GB memory<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h4>Server Requirements<\/h4>\n<p>The requirements for running an SPOS5 server vary depending on the amount of users and data being processed.<br \/>\nTypically, for maximum performance for a 10 user system, the recommended server requirements are as follows:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Intel Dual Core processor, or better<\/li>\n<li>8GB or more Ram recommended<\/li>\n<li>Microsoft Windows XP\/Vista\/7\/8\/8.1\/10 operating systems; a maximum of 10 concurrent users may access SPOS on this system.<\/li>\n<li>Microsoft Windows Server 2008 (32\/64-bit), 2008 R2 \/<br \/>\n2012 (32\/64-bit), 2016 (32\/64-bit), operating systems are also supported.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h4>Network Requirements<\/h4>\n<p>A properly tuned network with 1 gigabit connectivity is recommended. For remote operability and access, a minimum of 1.5 mbit High speed internet connection is needed.
